Lesson 29 – 2on1 – Arm Drag Takedowns

Warm Up (10min)

  • Line Drills
  • Pummling (with foot work)
  • Hand Fighting

Lesson (35min)

    • Two On One – Arm Drag
      • Start with a cross wrist grab with your back hand
      • Outside hand to elbow, close the distance
      • Arm drag on their Tricep
      • Step front leg in deep and change levels
      • Reach outside hand around the back to the far hip
    • Change Of Direction Drag Down
      • Start with the above, and attempt a Corkscrew Takedown (Lesson 28)
      • Your opponent sits down to stop the takedown,
      • Change direction turning back into them
      • Use the arm around the back to chop down on their hips
      • Drop to one knee
    • Drag Down With Knee Block
      • Same as above
      • But use both knees to spread their legs
      • Note: That an inside reap is also a possibility
    • Body Lock Change Of Direction
      • From the above, your partner pulls their arm out same as Body Lock Takedown (Lesson 28)
      • Move your grip from their hip to behind their back
      • Then proceed the same as above, using one or two knees
