Staff Notice Board W4/24

CPR & First Aid Training

  • Training is booked for Sat 23rd of March, most will only need to do CPR, which wont take too long. I will post the links closer to the date so you can get the online work done before the course during work hours.

Gym Rules

  • Please read the gym rules for Martial Arts, there is a link below, they are also on the wall in the Martial Arts Room, and on the website on the FAQ page
  • If there is anything you believe should be added please email me
  • Please take note of:
    • Rashies under Gi Tops for both male and female, no one wants your sweaty, hairy chest in their face, if you don’t already please start wearing a rashie under your Gi.
    • Shorts for both male and female in NoGi & Wrestling, please make sure you wear shorts with long enough legs so others do not see your junk or jocks/underwear. Thai shorts and short shorts are fine in Striking Classes but not BJJ or Wrestling.
  • As a Coach or Instructor you need to lead by example and also speak to members that are not following the rule set. You need to be considerate as telling someone for example they stink could be a bit harsh and rude, so speak to people with respect and choose your words and tone carefully.

Dates

  • I have added a heap of dates to the whiteboard, BJJ Comps, Muay Thai & MMA events, please have a look and if taking classes please let the students know to check them out.
  • Important Dates:
    • Feb 10 – Quintet SASSOM v AKO @ SASSOM this time White Belt & Blue Belt Div. We are also happy to try and match a few “super fights” females or hight ranks if anyone is interested.
    • March 9 – Neil Owen Seminar & Grading

Reminders

  • Checking in people on trial and those that forget their toggles
  • Please remember to take photo and give new members their toggle
  • If someone is asking how to cancel or letting you know they would like to cancel, PLEASE direct them to the Members Portal to request cancelation, DO NOT take any verbal or written cancelation notice. I still process email cancelations that come though, but that is not the preferred method as some email end up in junk ect. when people cancel though the Portal there is a record of there request saved on GymMaster, and the request is never lost in email world.

Holidays

  • When considering time off please refer to the below list to see if anyone else has already booked time away.
