Uniform & Equipment

• Uniform:
  • There are a few options:
    • Gi with Belt
      • This is a good option if your child would like to compete in BJJ competitions. This option also teaches them how to use the cloth against their opponent.
    • Black Shorts or Gi Pants & Club T-Shirt
      • Shorts must have a long leg and no pockets, or zippers, Basketball shorts are a good cost effective option.
      • This is a more cost effective and comfortable option, it is also simular to what kids wear every day. 
• Procetive Equipment:
  • Bag Gloves for hitting pads and bags
  • Hand and Shin Guards for sparring and drilling
  • Mouth Guard is optional, we have a strict no head contact policy for kids, but sometimes accidents happen.
    • Note: If using a mouth guard we recommend a dentist fitted mouth guard (top only)

How to join / purchase a membership:

• Go to the Member Portal: Click Here
• Click the blue button “Sign Up”
• Scroll down and select the membership of choice
• Fill out the details and follow the process until complete

How to add a suspension / hold:

• Go to the Member Portal: Click Here
• Enter your email and password, press the green button “Member Login”
• From the options select “Add Hold”
• Fill out the information required, then click the “Add Hold” button again.
• There is a $5.50 fee for each suspension applied to your membership.
• SASSOM does not notify you when your hold finishes, the management system is fully automated and debits will automatically restart. If you return early just use your membership toggle to gain access which will end your hold from that date .
• The management system will pro rata all fees, it may take a couple of payment cycles for your fees to return to normal. The system may bill you while your membership is on hold if your hold finish during a billing period.
• Adding a Hold to your membership does not stop debits for any monies owing, please email us if you need to make arrangements for monies owning.

How to change your bank account / credit card details

• Go to the Member Portal: Click Here
• Enter your email and password, press the green button “Member Login”
• From the options select “Update Billing Info”
• Follow the steps for there.

How to cancel your membership

• All cancellations can be requested via the Members Portal just log in and click on the cancel button for each membership you wish to cancel, Click Here.
• There is a minimum of two weeks’ notice required to cancel a membership. Please note all memberships must be active and balance paid before we can process your cancellation request.
• We always reply when we have processed your request, normally within 48 hours.

Other fees

• SASSOM uses eDebit to process electronic payments, these payments can be debited from either a bank account or credit card.
• eDebit charges a transaction fee of $0.48 per transaction.
• If you use a credit card it is +1.65% for Master and Visa or 4.2% for Amex on top of the prescribed transaction fee. These fees can be altered by eDebit.
• eDebit charges an $11.00 fee for failed payments.
